Trolling Motor Stabilizers
A marine-grade 3D-printed stabilizer system engineered to protect boats and trolling motors from wave impact damage. This three-piece design combines durability with easy installation, providing a cost-effective solution for boat owners.
The Challenge
Traditional trolling motor stabilizers were expensive and complex to install. Boat owners needed an affordable, reliable solution to prevent trolling motors from damaging boat decks during wave impacts, while ensuring the product could withstand harsh marine environments.
The Solution
Engineered three generations of stabilizer designs using Fusion 360, with each iteration improving manufacturability and reliability. Selected PETG material for its superior outdoor durability and utilized optimized FDM printing parameters to ensure consistent quality. The final design features both bolt-down and pressure-mount installation options, maximizing compatibility across different boat configurations.
